Goggle Dog
Walking along the street was this serious pit bull with his owner. No, I don't know why he's wearing goggles. And don't pet him... according to his backpack sign, he's working!
(The dog looks quite a bit like the famous "Nipper".)

We are totally puzzled at the purpose this noble animal serves.
He could be a Service Dog of some sort but it doesn't make sense that he'd be togged up like this, goggles and all simply walking along the street. Is his owner simply dressing him up?
Love the photo and that you show it in B and W.
It appears he may be a rescue dog for drowning swimmers what with those goggles and first-aid kit. I think if I was underwater and saw him swimming toward me, I'd head for dry land real quick.
Cute pic!
Best guess yet! I guess they don't carry a keg of brandy for drowning swimmers... I thought maybe the dog had taken up welding, to support his person.
Maybe it was a Google goggle dog you snooping around?
Very interesting, I would have been so CURIOUS!
What isn't puzzling is the excellence of your photo. Love it when you capture the moment.
Well, he is very impressive...wonder what he does for a living???

Very interesting and cute. Do have a friend whose son has a dog who assists him in living. Btw, in my 'reflected glory' photo of last week, the answer to your query is yes - it is a great blue heron.
He looks every so important with his goggles .. haha
Oh but why didn't you ask? Now you've got the whole world wondering!
He looks like an escapee from a nineteen-fifties film.
And if there isn't a film made about him already, there should be one!

Another day, another dog from another time!
Who cares what he's good for, it's a terrific shot!

superb capture!
A working dog with an attitude.
yes, it is I... in 1975. The camera is one of our pair of Canon FTb bodies. D'star is taking the picture.
Reminds me of Snoopy, World War One Flying Ace. Great shot!
as others have said, quite an interesting photo of a very interesting dog
