Sleeping Dragon

It's snowing this morning, but yesterday it was sunny and I took a hike through Hidden Marsh, Three River's nature preserve, and encountered this dragon. Fortunately he appears to be fast asleep, but I will have to avoid this part of the woods around Chinese New Year!

Are you sure it's a dragon? It looks a bit like a starfish to me!

Anyway, it's a beautiful shot.

And yesterday's post was incredible. Hope he survives in town.

No a dragon - see his eyebrows and long tail?

A lionstarfish dragon!

I'm so jealous of everyone that got snow with their cold weather. ~ Calico Contemplations

The winter light seems magical, the snow soft as down pillows and the dragon sleeps on...

He also appears to be buried in snow! No wonder he's sleeping. Do dragons hibernate in the winter?

It's really hard to take a snow-covered, sleeping dragon seriously as a serious dragon!

You do tend to have intriguing pictures.

At first I thought it was birds fighting.
