Monochrome Monday

Walking bridge over the Rocky River (click for larger; interesting light). Two great things about b/w: The textures that show up - and the shadows.

For more monochrome delights from many locations see Monochrome Weekly.

That is one after my own heart. Great.

The lighting really is beautiful. I never take b/w photos, but I certainly appreciate them.

Black and white photos have a different depth. Seeing them is like listening to the radio instead of watching TV.
I also find the daily photo concept a very enriching one. It is a goal of mine that I haven't realized yet. I think it helps you be more aware of your surroundings and look for the specila in the every day.
Thank you for stopping by my Skywatch and commenting! I hope to see you again soon!

Great shot, the light looks almost super-nature.

Looking at all these monochrome photos makes me remember why b&w TV had something special way back when. Twilight Zone for example.
Love this photo. Love the blog concept. Every small city should have a blog like this!
