The problem with solar

This shot of a solar powered speed sign in Three Rivers is for my dear friend Kathleen in Berkeley, California who has a solar power installation company. Sorry dear, it just doesn't work well here. Especially in the winter.

Blue is Back

Wow sunshine coming in the window this morning woke me up - what is that big bright light in the sky?

Despite the sunshine, swimming is discouraged when the water is hard and cars are driving around on it.

Off to the right you can see some ice-fishermen. To see a summertime view from about the same spot, click here: Bluetiful Noon

Big Bag

The Biggest Big Bags will be on sale on January 30th. Perhaps the sign means means something else; I may have to go see.
Taken downtown Three Rivers in the falling snow. Later, the sun came out.

2 Much Snow 2 Paddle

This is one of my favorite local signs, for a canoe outfitter. But today if you look closely - the canoe is full of snow!

(The outfitter's name is good too - "Liquid Therapy.")

Sign of the Times

Posted on the library door: "Patrons with flu symptoms are asked to refrain from using the library..."

I know, it's an odd photo, but it works for me. See more of the world in monochrome at The Monochrome Weekly, presented by Aileni.

Three Rivers Truck

X-Ray

Walking down Main Street I glimpsed an ancient sign through a dusty window. X-Rays, just up this dark stairway. Step this way...

More monochrome to be seen weekly on The Monochrome Weekly.
