Monochrome in the Gallery

Everything looks more mysterious when backlit - and in monochrome.

Taken in the Armstrong Gallery at the Carnegie Center for the Arts.

See gorgeous monochromes by lots of people around the world, just click over to The Monochrome Weekend, presented by Aileni.

The people look like they could be an exhibit in themselves! Ghostly! Hope that guy isn't trying to play that guitar!

Nicely done!

Beautiful! I agree with Jacob - the patrons look like part of the exhibit.

Good one! «Louis» likes the 'guitar'!

Re «Louis'» favorite hymn circa 1700, of the ones Tim played yesterday, it was Pachelbel's arrangement of that quintessential Lutheran hymn, Ein Feste Burg Ist Unser Gott. (Pachelbel was a Lutheran church musician; too bad we only remember him now because of his Canon!)

«Louis's» all-time favorite hymn tune is Hyfrydol.

True, monochrome does add an air of mystery. :) I like this shot a lot.

Great photo - the guitar is eye-catching. The people in the background me remind me of those in a movie I watched many years ago called (I think) The Day the Earth Stood Still.
Cheers.
