Skywatch

Water, sun, sky. Only, the water is solid! Sunrise this morning, with a lemon yellow sun above a band of lavender clouds, and snow covered trees.

After a big snowstorm yesterday there is a promise of dazzling sunlight on the snow today. It's not even too cold (19F, -7C.) I was outside, that was my reaction. I can't believe I am thinking that it's not too cold!

I love the contrast of the warm sun and the cold snow. Beautiful.

Looks beautiful but I question your sanity when it comes to thinking 19 isn't cold.

What a sunrise!

Indeed! To «Louis'» California-thinned blood, 19º is COLD! We think it's cold here when the thermometer hits 40º as it did last night! (The year-round median temperature for the Bay Area is a very pleasant 65º)

This glowing sunrise seems so strange against all that snow, but surely catch the eye!

I'm here in southwest MI, and went outside to take some photos and amazingly it is not cold ^_^. Though we are way inches high, I guess leaving here in MI when the temp reaches to 30F it is not cold to us hehehe. Love the photos thanks for sharing and happy weekend!

By the way, I just read your rant about the cottagers and geese. Don't be sorry. I TOTALLY agree with you. Too many humans think they can do whatever they wish without having to suffer the consequences. LOL

Lemon yellow, lavender and white ... what a interesting colour description.

Are you quite sure 19F is 9C?
I make 19F between minus 5 and 6 C, which is what we've got here.

This is an absolutely gorgeous sight for sore eyes. I also love yesterday's post.

Have a great weekend!

Very lovely mixtures of hard and soft, and of colours.

Thanks for visiting my blog. Have a good weekend.

We thought the same thing here yesterday when it was 22 degrees, it almost felt warm after what we've had. I think I'd prefer 50! The picture is gorgeous.

From what I've seen of your weather forecast, it may be cold again before it gets warmer....

Just caught up with your sun shot today when it has left us again! Tried to capture the crescent moon with the sun coming up this morning but it didn't really turn out well.

Your photo is truly lovely!
